I was so excited to get Windows 3.0!

Unfortunately, I was too spoiled by OS/2 to care about Windows 95. I eventually migrated, but only because it came preloaded on my new PII system (an IBM, no less) and the kids were begining to complain about game compatibility. You will be happy to hear, however, that I was not suckered into buying 98 or ME.

Now, Windows XP... That's a different story. It's the first Microsoft product I've enjoyed since 1983.

On this page I've got some resources for the various releases of Windows 95 (95B, 98, 98SE, ME), but I'm really focusing on XP.

Here's as MSKB dealing with the wonderful refuse to release IP feature. Don't expect it to work: you need to delete and reinstall the card. But then there's a first time for everything.
